BANDA ACEH — The leadership landscape of the Persaudaraan Shorinji Kempo Indonesia (Perkemi) Aceh has officially changed. Erwin Ferdinansyah, S.T., M.T., has been elected by acclamation as Chairman of Perkemi Aceh for the 2026–2030 term at the election held at Hotel Seventeen, Banda Aceh, on September 30, 2026.
Erwin’s election marks a new chapter in the development of the martial arts organization in Aceh. The official, who currently serves as Head of the Aceh Irrigation Agency, has been entrusted with leading Perkemi Aceh for the next four years following an election process that concluded with his unanimous selection by acclamation.

The leadership transition also marks the end of the tenure of Dr. Islahuddin, M.I.C., C.A., who previously led Perkemi Aceh for two consecutive terms. The transfer of leadership represents an organizational transition aimed at maintaining continuity while strengthening the development of Shorinji Kempo in Aceh.
At the national level, Perkemi is led by Chairman of the Central Executive Board of Perkemi, Vice Admiral (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Agus Setiadji, S.A.P., M.A. The coordination between national and regional leadership remains an important element in ensuring the continuity of athlete development and organizational growth.
Acclamation is more than simply an election result. Behind the mandate lies a significant responsibility to move the organization forward—strengthening athlete development, improving coaching quality, building the next generation of athletes, and creating programs capable of advancing Aceh’s Kempo achievements at the national level.
The 2026–2030 term therefore opens a new chapter for Perkemi Aceh. Erwin’s leadership will face increasingly complex organizational challenges—not merely in terms of competitions and medals, but also in establishing sustainable development programs and creating greater opportunities for young Acehnese athletes to grow and achieve their potential.
Now that Erwin Ferdinansyah has been elected Chairman of Perkemi Aceh by acclamation, attention within the sporting community will turn to the organization’s next steps: what direction will Perkemi Aceh take over the next four years? The answer will ultimately be reflected in its programs, organizational consolidation, and achievements throughout the 2026–2030 leadership period.
