ACEH TAMIANG — A new chapter in the development of chess in Aceh Tamiang Regency is underway. The organizing committee of the 2026 Regency Conference (Musyawarah Kabupaten or Muskab) of the Indonesian Chess Association (Persatuan Catur Seluruh Indonesia/Percasi) of Aceh Tamiang, under the leadership of T. Muhammad Tasa, through Percasi Aceh Tamiang Secretary Rahmad Rizeki, S.Pd.Gr.PNP., has submitted the proposed management structure for the 2026–2030 term to M. Taufik, WNM.PNP., representing the Aceh Provincial Percasi Board. The submission took place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Banda Aceh Post Office, for processing toward the issuance of the official management decree (SK).
The submission of the documents by Rahmad Rizeki to M. Taufik represents an important stage in the organization’s administrative process following the 2026 Aceh Tamiang Percasi Regency Conference. The submitted documents contain the proposed management structure for the 2026–2030 term, serving as the administrative basis for official recognition of the regency-level leadership in accordance with the organization’s applicable procedures.
This step also demonstrates the organizing committee’s commitment to ensuring that the leadership transition and formation of the new management proceed in an orderly, structured, and accountable manner. With the documents now submitted, it is hoped that the verification process and issuance of the official decree by the Aceh Provincial Percasi Board will proceed smoothly in accordance with the organization’s regulations.
The issuance of the management decree will serve as an important legal and administrative foundation for the new Percasi Aceh Tamiang leadership to officially carry out its responsibilities. It will also support the implementation of work programs, strengthen athlete development, and establish closer coordination with various stakeholders committed to advancing chess in the region.
Beyond administrative approval, the new Percasi Aceh Tamiang leadership is expected to bring renewed enthusiasm and a fresh vision for improving chess performance. Developing young players, enhancing coaches’ qualifications, organizing competitive tournaments, and identifying promising chess talents must become key priorities in the organization’s future agenda.
The challenges facing chess development go beyond athletes’ ability to win competitions. They also depend on the organization’s commitment to establishing a sustainable and well-structured development system. Therefore, official recognition must be accompanied by measurable work programs, professional governance, and strong cooperation among association officials, chess clubs, coaches, athletes, and local government.
With the proposed management documents for Percasi Aceh Tamiang now submitted to the Aceh Provincial Percasi Board, new hopes are emerging for the future of chess in Aceh Tamiang Regency. All subsequent procedures are expected to proceed in accordance with the applicable regulations, enabling the 2026–2030 management team to begin carrying out its responsibilities and make a meaningful contribution to improving regional chess achievements.
