ACEH TAMIANG — The determination of Aceh Tamiang’s volleyball community on its journey toward the 2027 Aceh Sports Week (PORA) has received appreciation from Hendriko Lubis, one of the candidates for Chairman of KONI Aceh Tamiang. The appreciation was expressed as recognition of the hard work of the local sports community in helping the Aceh Tamiang volleyball team successfully pass the Pre-PORA stage and secure qualification for PORA Aceh, scheduled for May 2027.
Hendriko conveyed his appreciation at PEMDA KUPI, Kampung Dalam, Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang, Wednesday (October 7, 2026). In particular, he praised Muhammad Yunus, S.Pd., Chairman of the Aceh Tamiang Volleyball Sports Association and a member of the Aceh Tamiang Regional House of Representatives (DPRK), as well as M. Dirham, also known as Bogem, the Aceh Tamiang volleyball coach, for their efforts and dedication in preparing the team to compete at the provincial level.
According to Hendriko, qualifying for PORA is not an achievement that comes instantly. Behind the result is a long process involving athlete development, training, discipline, match strategies and the courage to face competitive pressure. Therefore, he believes that the dedication of administrators, coaches and athletes deserves proper appreciation and continued support.
“I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Chairman of the Aceh Tamiang Volleyball Association, Muhammad Yunus, S.Pd., through Mr. M. Dirham, also known as Bogem, as the coach. What they have accomplished is an important part of Aceh Tamiang’s sporting journey. Qualifying for PORA is the result of hard work and a process that has not been easy,” Hendriko said.
Hendriko emphasized that PORA 2027 must become an important momentum to demonstrate that Aceh Tamiang has athletes with the potential to compete at the provincial level. In his view, securing a place in PORA is not the finish line, but the beginning of a greater challenge to prepare athletes to perform at their best and bring pride to the region.
He also stressed that achievements in sports such as volleyball must become an important part of future sports development in Aceh Tamiang. Sports associations, coaches and athletes require continuous support—not merely when competitions are underway. Well-planned, transparent and achievement-oriented development is essential to producing outstanding athletes from Aceh Tamiang.
“We should not only look at medals when athletes have already won. We must also recognize the process—from their training and struggles to their preparation. Achievements are born from a long process. I hope the struggle of the Aceh Tamiang volleyball team will continue to receive support until PORA Aceh 2027,” Hendriko firmly stated.
For Hendriko, Aceh Tamiang volleyball’s qualification for PORA 2027 is a strong indication that the region still possesses enormous sporting potential. The challenge now is how all stakeholders can strengthen cooperation, maintain sustainable athlete development and provide greater opportunities for athletes to grow and achieve.
With this spirit, Hendriko hopes that the efforts of Muhammad Yunus, S.Pd., M. Dirham alias Bogem, the coaches, administrators and all Aceh Tamiang volleyball athletes will not end with Pre-PORA qualification. The next goal is to prepare the team as thoroughly as possible for PORA Aceh in May 2027, so that Aceh Tamiang will not merely participate, but arrive with determination to deliver its best performance and achieve proud results for the region.
