ACEH TAMIANG — Preparations for the Wadokai Karate-Do Indonesia Mini Competition across Aceh Tamiang Regency, the “Principal’s Cup” of International Tahfizh Quran Seruway, are gaining momentum.
The preparations were marked by a committee formation meeting held at Gacoan, Karang Baru, on September 15, 2026. The meeting served as an initial step to ensure that the competition will be organized in an orderly, professional, and sportsmanlike manner.
The meeting was attended by the management of Wadokai Aceh Tamiang, led by Muazzin as Chairman, Brata Yudi Tama, S.Pd. as Secretary, and Syafrial as Treasurer.
The meeting discussed various technical and administrative preparations for the competition, including the committee structure, competition mechanisms, participant categories, readiness of officials and referees, facilities and equipment, as well as security and public order during the event.
Chairman of Wadokai Aceh Tamiang, Muazzin, emphasized that the mini competition is not merely about winning trophies. More importantly, it is part of a continuous effort to develop young karate athletes, particularly among students.
According to him, competitions provide young athletes with valuable experience to build confidence, exercise self-control, understand competition rules, and respect their opponents.
Meanwhile, Brata Yudi Tama, S.Pd., as Secretary, is responsible for ensuring that administrative matters and committee coordination are prepared systematically. Syafrial, as Treasurer, is also preparing the financial management and funding requirements needed to support the competition.
The Principal’s Cup concept is also expected to strengthen cooperation between sports development and the education sector. Schools have a strategic role in providing students with opportunities to develop their potential not only academically but also through sports and extracurricular activities.
Through this competition, Wadokai Aceh Tamiang hopes to identify and develop promising young karate athletes with strong technical abilities, competitive spirit, discipline, and character.
The committee formation meeting marks an important moment in bringing together all parties involved in the event. With thorough preparation, the Wadokai Karate-Do Indonesia Mini Competition in Aceh Tamiang for the Principal’s Cup is expected to become more than a competition for trophies—it is intended to help shape a generation of young people who are strong, disciplined, sportsmanlike, and achievement-oriented.
On the karate mat, athletes are tested not only by their physical strength, but also by their courage, discipline, self-control, and sportsmanship.
